As a teenager, I sadly watched my grandmother’s vision deteriorate to the point of blindness due to macular degeneration. I saw the effect it had on her lifestyle and wished I could have done something to prevent it from happening. With this in mind, I applied for a career in optometry.
I enjoy using latest technologies in my work and have a creative flair with problem solving. I also love making people happy. Optometry challenges me to solve people’s eye problems, which in turn makes them very happy because they can see their world better.
I enjoy family fun activities, swimming, cooking, reading, watching movies, watching theatre productions (particularly musicals), listening to jazz and blues, wining and dining with my wonderful wife and daughters (dining only for the daughters! Ha ha!).
